The pedestrian street near the port sells Russian dolls, amber (much of it fake), and matryoshka souvenirs β a leftover of the Russian-era trade. Bargain hard.
Dried seafood
Dalian's specialty β sea cucumber, kelp, dried scallops and fish. Buy from the seafood market near the port, not tourist stalls.

Tourist stalls expect haggling; seafood markets have per-kilo prices you can negotiate slightly.
